Why coffee drinkers switch

FAQ
What does it actually taste like?+
Like a smooth, low-acid cup of coffee. The base is real dehydrated Arabica and the mushroom extracts are close to flavour neutral, so there is no earthy or bitter aftertaste. It works black, as a latte, or stirred into brewed coffee.
How much caffeine is in a cup?+
35mg per serving, against roughly 95mg in a standard cup of drip. It is paired with L-theanine for calm alertness rather than a spike. If you want your usual jolt, add a scoop to brewed coffee instead of replacing it.
Does Habituel use 'those' kinds of mushrooms?+
No. Our mushrooms are adaptogenic, not hallucinogenic. They only passively assist and repair you, and there is no drug-induced sensation of any kind.
Is it vegan-friendly?+
No. We use bovine collagen peptides because they are a clean, bioavailable source of amino acids that also make for a smoother, less acidic cup. An absorbable vegan collagen does not exist yet, and we are watching for it.
Do you use fruiting bodies or mycelium?+
Fruiting bodies only, from naturally grown mushrooms on local farms in southern Oregon. The fruiting body is the actual mushroom and the part the research is run on. Mycelium is the root network, and it is usually grown on grain that gets milled into the final powder, so a scoop carries grain starch alongside the extract. We hot water extract the fruiting body instead, which makes the beta-glucans absorbable.

How many cups can I drink a day?+
Most of the benefit shows up at one to two cups daily. There is no strict upper limit and plenty of people drink up to four, but listen to your body and dial it back if anything feels off.
